A Duel for the Throne

I for one was quite shocked and caught off guard a bit to hear of the news that Ben Bishop had been traded from the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Los Angeles Kings. Bishop who led the league last year with a 2.06 GAA and second in the league.926 SV% has been a staple and a mainstay for the lightning for the past 5 years during the majority of their playoff runs. Quick is no stranger to making deep playoff runs and doing a lot of heavy lifting to keeping his team in contention posting a .918 SV% and 2.22 GAA in the 15/16 season. Quick has only played two games this season due to a severe groin injury was back in Action Monday night against the wild to lose in overtime high-scoring affair.

I am absolutely left wondering what Dean Lombardi has up his sleeve with this one, being that Ben Bishop is definitely a starting goaltender and not a back up by any means. Is he thinking in the future in regards to the upcoming expansion draft or do we have a battle for the crown here?
