David Poile Named NHL GM of the Year

David Poile finally wins the GM of the Year award and it has been a long time coming. The Nashville Predators GM has made many a significant move in the Predators history and since the middle of last season has made quite a few good ones.

The additions of Ryan Johansen and P.K. Subban during last year and after last season respectfully. Add to that the deal that brought in Filip Forsberg and you a good bit of this past season’s core. Also, you cannot discount a shrewd move to bring Cody McLeod last season. Offensively it was not a big move, but it really seemed to give the team a bit more confidence to go out and play.

His past drafts speak for themselves. Never afraid to make the big move, Poile has been at the top of his game for many years now.

Congratulations DP!

Daniel Jones

My name is Daniel Jones, I am from the Washington D.C. area originally, but have lived in Nashville, Tn since 1983. I grew up a fan of the Washington Capitals and I am still partial to them. However, I became a day 1 season ticket holder with the Nashville Predators when they arrived. My wife and I have been hardcore Preds fans ever since. Being asked to cover to the Preds for Puck Planet is both a dream and an honor. I hope to do both the website and Predator fans proud.
