Arizona Coyotes have dealt forward Martin Hanzal to the Minnesota Wild. In what can only be considered a blockbuster the Wild will pay the moon, stars and at least someone’s arm and leg in the front office (this writer jests of course). Ryan White will head to the Wild as part of the deal also.

So what do the Coyotes get for moving their star third liner?

To Coyotes :

2017 First Round Pick
2018 Second Round Pick
Conditional pick that could be a second rounder in 2019

To Wild :

Martin Hanzal, Ryan White and Arizona’s 4th Round Pick in 2017

Lopsided deal or fair market value for a third line center coming off his last contract in the desert?

Minessota GM Chuck Fletcher has done well of late in getting his team scoring depth. Under couch Boudreau both Eric Staal and Chris Stewart have had a career resurgence.

Arizona for their part wanted to deal with the Canadiens but as Don Corleone would say GM Fletcher and the Wild made an offer they couldn’t refuse.

At the top of the western conference standings neck and neck with the Chicago Blackhawks, the Wild will look to capitalize on the veteran forward and maybe make it to the promised land and aim to make a deep run in the playoffs.
