It’s been a long road to recovery for 32 year old goaltender Jimmy Howard since his MCL sprain. After 2 1/2 months in rehab and conditioning games with the Grand Rapid Griffins, Howard has been called back up to the Detroit Red Wings.

After Howard’s original injury he was only expected to keep him out for 4-6 weeks. Due to re-injuries during conditioning games with Detroit’s AHL affiliate the team, Howard has had to suffer through watching his team and season go up in great balls of fire. It is still unclear if Howard will start tonight against the Boston Bruins.
