The Colorado Avalanche return home after completing their short 2 game road trip tonight with a matchup against Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. Tonight will be the second time that the two teams play each other, and the final time that it happens this season. The Avalanche have not gotten a win in the last 5 straight matchups against the capitals. It’s about time that changes tonight.

Last Game Against the Capitals?

Last Time the two teams played each other the capitals thoroughly dominated the Avalanche outshooting them 40-18 and finished the game with a convincing 3-0 win.

Who could be the difference maker tonight?

Sven Andrighetto continues to be on fire for the Avalanche, in the last game he scored 2 goals for them bringing his total to 9 points in his first 12 games with the Avalanche. He could be the difference maker tonight if he can get a little bit of time or space against the capitals he is showing that he can put points up.

Erik Johnson is another player that you should keep your eyes on tonight as in the last game he scored 2 assists as well.

Pre-Game Video?

Here is some great pre-game video from Altitudes Lauren Gardiner

If you are afraid of heights you may not watch to check that out, but it is a pretty cool view!
