Viktor Arvidsson was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 2014 National Hockey League Entry Draft in the 4th round 112th overall. Two of his most common nicknames are Arvi or the Energy Bunny which refers to how hard he works when he is on the ice. He is a player who never stops and doesn’t know anything but 150 percent effort and work when he is on the ice.

This season Arvidsson should be in the running for the most improved player in the NHL. Last season he put up 8 goals and 8 assists in 56 games played for a total of 16 points with the Predators. This season has been a whole new ball game for the young forward. He has put up a total of 31 goals and 30 assists in 80 games played for the Predators for a total of 61 points.  In the first round of the playoff, this season Arvidsson started off the scoring for the Predators with the first goal of the series against the Blackhawks. He finished the round 1 series with 4 games played and scoring 2 goals and 2 assists for a total of 4 points a point per game average he also has a plus 8 rating through those 4 games in the playoffs. The Predators move on to round 2 where they will face off against another fellow Central Division foe that they are familiar with in the St Louis Blues.

While Arvidsson started the season as a feature in the bottom 6 for the predators this season he easily worked his way up to the top lines with his energy and play.

Talent Analysis

Arvidsson, overlooked coming out of junior hockey due to his size, is a highly-skilled forward whose scoring instincts and determination compares favorably with other prospects. His creativity and speed have allowed him to put up points consistently while at the same time he is a responsible player in his own end of the ice.
