The Nashville Predators will try to take a commanding 3-1 series lead tonight in Game 4 of their 2nd round series against the St. Louis Blues. In Game 3, the Predators out chanced, out shot, out hit and dominated the face off and possession battles. Nashville will be looking to duplicate that performance tonight. Bridgestone Arena will be jumping, so they will have plenty of energy to feed off of.

Here are the 3 keys to tonight’s matchup:

#1 – Copy & Paste. Let’s just take Game 3 and copy and paste it into Game 4 and the Predators should easily take over the series. Simply put, a repeat performance means a 3-1 series lead.

#2 – The Fisher Line. Keep this line together no matter what changes are made. They may not score a ton, but Mike Fisher, Austin Watson and Harry Zolniercyzk have been really good together. They hit everything that moves, they are great defensively and they generate chances. There is nothing more you can ask from them right now.

#3 – Tank the Tank. The Preds have done a good job on Vladimir Tarasenko in games 1 & 3 of the series. Tarasenko got loose in Game 2 and the Blues were able to squeak out a win. If Nashville can keep Tarasenko from taking over the game, their chances to win go way up.

Tonight’s game is a 8:30 pm CT start. The game can be seen on NBCSN.

My name is Daniel Jones, I am from the Washington D.C. area originally, but have lived in Nashville, Tn since 1983. I grew up a fan of the Washington Capitals and I am still partial to them. However, I became a day 1 season ticket holder with the Nashville Predators when they arrived. My wife and I have been hardcore Preds fans ever since. Being asked to cover to the Preds for Puck Planet is both a dream and an honor. I hope to do both the website and Predator fans proud.
