The Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League have acquired a 2018 conditional seventh-round draft pick from the Los Angeles Kings for the rights to forward Bokondji Imama.

Height: 6″ 1′
Weight: 214 lbs
Position: Left Wing

Imama was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft in the 6th round. He was selected at #180 overall that draft year.

Career Highlights

He has won 1 QMJHL Championship

Career Outlook

As funny as it may sound to say this in today’s NHL and how it is being played but Imama looks to be just about elite as you can for an enforcer. This move will in all likelihood be a depth move for the Kings AHL team next season we have to remember that they moved a few bigger tougher guys at the deadline last season. Maybe this is the Kings management’s idea to try and replace a guy like Dwight King sometime down the line and add some really solid physical play to their line up?

While Imama might be a bit offensively limited in what he can bring to the table here is a video that shows something he can definitely bring in spades…

in the form of a quick update on the situatoin, the Kings have signed Imama to his 3-year Entry Level contract. Kings not wasting any time after completing the trade this morning.
