Congratulations to Rockford IceHogs defenseman Erik Gustafsson and forward Vinnie Hinostroza who were named to the American Hockey League 2018 AHL All-Star Classic on Monday, January 29.  It will be the first All-Star appearance for both players.

In 23 games, Hinostroza has 9 goals and 13 assists for 22 points.  He has a +/- of 7 and has only spent 8 minutes in the penalty box.

Gustafsson has played 22 games, notching 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points.  His +/- is -3 and he has accumulated 18 penalty minutes.

The 2018 AHL All-Star Classic includes a 3-on-3 tournament featuring representatives from each of the four divisions.  The rosters are comprised of 10 skaters and 2 goalies, with every team having at least one player.

The teams (divisions) will play in the round-robin tourney with six 10 minute games played 3-on-3.  The two teams with the best records will play a six minute 3-on-3 game for the championship.
