Scouting Reports

The Sports Forecaster report:

SCOUTING REPORT
Assets: Is an excellent skater with a strong penchant for producing offense. Can play either center or wing. Provides excellent energy and is able to make plays at a high speed.
Flaws: Needs more work on his consistency if he is to become an elite scoring forward at the highest level. Also needs to fill out his 5-11 frame, and does not have ideal size.
Career Potential: Talented, speedy and versatile forward with upside.

Elite Prospects Report on Jost:

Tyson Jost is a crafty goal-scorer who carries out plays as quickly as he envisions them. As someone who thinks and plays at a fast tempo, it comes as no surprise that he creates a lot of energy as an offensive catalyst. He sees the ice very well and has the willingness and determination to win battles in the tough areas. All-in-all, a dynamic offensive forward with top-6 potential at the next level. (Curtis Joe, EP 2016)

Dobber Prospects Thoughts:

Combining elite hockey sense and goal scoring instincts, Jost is the type of player that makes everyone around him better. He has no discernable glaring weaknesses in his game and is a sure bet to be a top 6 forward in the future.

Predictions

Here are my predictions for Tyson Jost and his NHL career.Tyson Jost will make the Colorado Avalanche NHL team full time this coming season. (2017-2018) He may start off splitting time between the second and third line to start off the season, but by the mid point of the season and on he will be a staple in the top 6 forwards for the club. He will be a top 2 line player from that point on in his NHL career and will go on to become one of the better 2-way players that we have seen in the game in the modern era. Think Jonathan Toews. He modeled his game after him on the ice and he even went the same path as Toews when it came to playing for the college that he choose as well as he felt that was the fastest route to the NHL. This kid is going to be special, the kind of player that an NHL franchise can build its team around for the next decade. He has tons of leadership qualities and he will be a captain in the NHL one day whether that is with the Colorado Avalanche, or with another team down the line. Franchise type player,

Franchise type player, a great leader on and off the ice, will win a few individual and team awards before his career is all said and done.
